Miraculous
Healing with a Message for the Church
In late June
2000, Joie Pirkey, thirty six year old mother of three, with no heart disease in
her family history and a remarkably healthy personal history, had two serious
heart attacks just days apart from each other.
After a very
short stay in Saint Elizabeth’s intensive care unit, Mrs. Pirkey was sent to a
specialist at University Hospital Madison.
There she was diagnosed with a disease called Coronary Vaso Spasm. This disease caused the arteries in the
heart to spasm randomly, at times causing the heart to be deprived of oxygen,
thus causing a heart attack. After
a year of unsuccessful endeavors of trying to get the spasms under control with
medication, Joie was sent to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
There she learned that this disease had no cure. Dr. Charles Bruce, the specialist there,
told her that she had one of the most aggressive cases that he had ever seen and
that finding the right combination of medication was her only hope. Dr. Bruce asked Joie to consider some
experimental testing as well that would assist in future research. She agreed to have the test and it was
scheduled for October 10th of 2001.
Ten days prior to
that test, on September 30th, just before midnight, a miracle
occurred. While lying in bed with
her husband Douglas, Joie had a vision.
In this vision Joie was told that she would be given a message for the
church and that she was going to be healed to prove that the message was true
and that it was from God.
For one hour and
twenty minutes, Joie saw with her open eyes, the Holy Spirit, angels, Jesus, and
demons, all throughout a very detailed description of what the Lord was asking of
the Church. When the vision ended
she felt not only healed but as if actual energy was pulsating through her
heart.
That moment began
a series of ten very difficult days.
There were so many questions, so many emotions, fear, disbelief, doubt,
sheer exhilarating joy, and a level of faith never before realized. Through all of this Joie needed
proof. After a long discussion with
Douglas they decided to go ahead with the
experimental test, hoping that it would yield conclusive evidence.
It was a Super
Specialist who administered the procedure.
He was the first to verify to Mrs. Pirkey that evidence of the disease
could not be found. Further results
showed that not only was she healed but that her vessels were free of all plaque
that was previously seen on two angiograms and that her heart function was so
strong that Dr. Bruce called the function level “Super Normal”. His final comment was, “I believe we
have a verifiable, documented miracle”.
This healing
happened seven years ago this Tuesday.
To celebrate that event Joie will be speaking and sharing the message
that was given to her in the vision.
