The following prophecies came through the duration of many years. They were formulated as one consistent message in 2002. They were submitted to the leadership of Christ Church of the Valley in Appleton and to the Pastor and Elders at Christ the Rock Community Church in Menasha, WI. The following is an outline briefly listing some of the events that are transpiring and are prophesied to happen in the Fox Valley.
The Fox Valley in north east Wisconsin will experience a season that God is calling ‘the dark night’. This “Dark Night” season began in 2001. During this dark night the following things have been prophesied to occur:
The Dark Night
- The devil will attack the churches.
- Many Christians will leave their local church and cease attending any church for the
duration of the dark night.
- Many of those in positions of authority in the local churches will be removed and
replaced with those who will be willing to allow God to be the Head of the church.
- Local churches will split into fragments.
- Churches will cease to exist.
- The churches will not be unified. Those who are not unified to this move of the Holy Spirit will be removed from their church.
- Doctrines of local churches will change allowing God to be the Head.
- These things will be allowed to prepare the Church here in the Valley for the Outpouring of the Spirit that is coming.
- Christ the Rock Community Church will be the last church that will be shaken up before the “Dark Night” is finished here in the Valley. (See the CTR Prophecies below.)
- Many will repent of not allowing God to be the Head of His Church.
- On November 5th 2002 I was told that the Church would need five years to be sanctified and made ready for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
- The two stones will be removed.
In conjunction with the Dark Night ending and the Outpouring beginning, two stones will be removed.
God confirmed this with the following scripture: Isaiah 62:10-12
“Go through, go through the gates; clear the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; remove the stones, lift up a standard over the peoples. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, say to the daughter of Zion, “Lo, your salvation comes; behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.” And they will call them, “The Holy people, the redeemed of the Lord”; and you will be called, “Sought out, a city not forsaken.”
The two stones that need to be removed in the Fox Valley are the abortion clinic on Gillette Street in Appleton and the strip club named the Paradise Club out by the Fox River Mall.
The night after the abortion clinic on Gillette Street closes we will meet in Saint John’s Catholic Church parking lot in Little Chute and pray for the sick.
The First Wave of the Flood
- The Christians who are not attending church services return. Those who left because of
the church splits also find new local bodies (churches).
- A deep hunger for more of God is stirred up in individual believers. This will be
seen in the number of prayer groups that pop up during this time and in the larger
numbers that attend them.
- The local churches become unified under their leadership.
- The churches in this area will unify with each other in an unprecedented manner.
- The Apostles, Prophets, and Evangelists return.
- Saint John’s Catholic Church becomes the wellspring of the flood. This is because God
is honoring a covenant that He made with the people who built the church building back
in the late 1880’s.
The Second Wave of the Flood
- Physical and emotional healings begin to happen.
- Signs and wonders as documented in Acts 2:17-21 which is quoted from Joel 2 begin to
increase and manifest in an unprecedented manner for the Fox Valley.
- Youth will be coming to the churches in great number.
- These young people will meet for services in untraditional places.
- In these services the youth will involve arts in their worship. Music and
drawing/painting will be a salient feature.
The Third Wave of the Flood
- Evangelism will dramatically increase and many non-believers will become Christians.
- People from all over the Midwest and Canada will come to the Fox Valley to receive
anointing for ministry. Catholics will come from all over the world.
- Many signs, wonders, and healings will continue to occur.
- A school of the prophets will emerge, with Biblical teaching regarding spiritual gifts
and how they function in the Body of Christ in a Biblical manner.

Christ The Rock Community Church Prophecies
(This version consists of only the actual prophesies. All narration and/or editorializing has been removed for clarity)
Beginning in August of 1998 God began to speak to me regarding what He was calling the “Dark Night” that would be released over the Fox Valley and the churches represented here. One specific portion of those prophecies addressed Christ the Rock Community Church. They are significant to the Body of Christ here in the Valley because they represent the underlying message that God is speaking to us all. Jesus is the head of the Church. Those who will not allow Him to be the head will be removed. They will be removed for the purpose of preparation for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that God intends to release here. He is preparing the Church. Christ the Rock Community Church will be the last of many churches that will experience this cleaning up. When CTR splits it will be the sign that the “Dark Night” is about to end.
I have taken out much of the chronological content of the original document for clarity. Below is the basic message and what is prophesied to happen to CTR before the end of the “Dark Night”.
God gave me Ez. 2-6 and began to make it clear that He was calling me to prophesy to someone. I would have to shout the message that He was going to give from the “roof tops”.
I had a vision seeing an eagle looking here and there, as if it were waiting for something. Underneath it was a wolf. It too looked as if it were waiting only the wolf seemed to have mal intent.
Through a series of vision and dreams from the Lord, I received this message for Pastor Bill Lenz.
You are not allowing Jesus to be the Head of the church. The church is His House. You are putting people in to ministry that God is not putting into ministry. You are taking people out of ministry that God is calling into ministry. You are putting people out of the church that God is calling into the church. You are bringing people into the church that God is casting out of the church. If you repent of this the Holy Spirit will be loosed on the church and the enemy will be held back. If you do not repent the devil will be loosed on the church and the Holy Spirit will hold back.
I met with Pastor Bill Lenz and shared the message with him.
A short time later I had another vision of the wolf running across a wooded area. The Holy Spirit said, “The devil has been loosed”. Then He told me that the families would be attacked first.
One morning in the summer of 2001, I awoke praying for Julie Sampson and her family again. I was told to get up and call her. I was supposed to tell her that her family “would be delivered from the attacks on the families at Christ the Rock.” I was also told to tell Julie, to tell Greg, that “when he came and asked me the question that I would answer him forthrightly.” I was told that Greg would ask some sort of question regarding the entire story of the prophecies for CTR. I was to tell him everything. I told Julie. We discussed only briefly what that meant.
I was also told that same morning, that five things would happen to Christ the Rock Community Church before the church would split five ways.
The families of the church would be attacked. Marriages would split. The children would be attacked. Not with sickness but with sin.
The second thing would be that the finances would be attacked. The sanctuary of the new building would never be built because of the lack of finances.
The third was that the Spirit of God would leave the church. I understood that the people attending of course, still had the Spirit of God in them, but that the spiritual authority given by God to leadership of a local church was now gone.
The fourth thing was that the unity of the Pastoral staff would disintegrate. They would begin to feel disjointed and separated from each other.
The fifth would be that Greg Sampson would leave the church with a remnant of people.
Before Greg would actually leave he would come to me and ask the question. I would tell him the prophecies. Also I was to tell him about these five things.
(I had a dream then that before Greg actually leaves there was a meeting in which Bill announced to the church members that Greg was leaving. He said something to the effect that things are not a problem between Bill and himself and that this is in no way a split. Bill does not say that Greg has his blessing to leave. Greg did not have the blessing of Bill to leave. He then steps back from the podium and Greg steps forward. In the dream, there is a very large screen, like a TV screen to the right of the podium. A camera is filming this event. The camera zooms up to Bill’s face. Bill makes an expression that shows that he is truly not happy with Greg leaving. For some reason, when the people see this on the screen they get up and leave.)
After I sent the prophecies out to the members of CTR the leadership at my church went through a very thorough discernment process. Their conclusions are available under CCV Elders' Resolve below.

CCV Elders' Resolve
The CCV Elders' Discernment Process Related to Joie Pirkey
Our Conclusions
The Process of Discernment:
- We can verify that in the process of our discernment, we did:
- Extensive prayer.
- Extensive Bible study on prophecy and its discernment.
- We looked over significant amounts of personal correspondence between Joie and the Lenz family. (Joie had been a close friend of the family for years.)
- We heard testimony from over 20 people related to Joie's gifting and her CTR prophecy.
- Some of these people believed the prophecy. Some didn't. Some were either unaware of the prophecy or unsure of what to make of it.
- These people included current and former elders and leaders at CTR, current and former staff of CTR, friends and family of Joie, and people who had been told of Joie's prophecy beforehand.
- This process has taken over 1½ years.
- We can say that this process of discernment about the CTR prophecy was entered into at CTR's request. They asked us to discern Joie's prophecy about CTR and come to a conclusion.
Out of This Discernment Process, We Came to These Conclusions About the CTR Prophecy:
- We can verify that Joie knew details before they happened and that there was no human way for her to have this information. These details were contained in her prophecy. We are convinced that she received this by revelation.
- Multiple sources have told us they have observed portions of the prophecy coming to pass as foretold.
- We are unable to verify any conclusive inaccuracies in the CTR prophecy itself. We did find some inaccuracies in the document, but these all were in sections of commentary and descriptions of events – not the sections that were prophetic in nature. Now, we recognize that there are things that have not yet come to pass in the sections that dealt with the prophecy. There are also things that we are unable to verify. However that is often the case when dealing with prophetic words. In the end, the substantial nature of the prophecy is too significant to ignore.
- The core message of the prophecy was a call of repentance to key leaders at CTR. The specific spiritual issue the prophecy addressed is significant and substantive in nature. We find the core message of this prophecy to be true. As such, we encourage the leadership of CTR to carefully seek the Lord regarding this issue.
- We can verify that Joie was not the only one who received this type of message. Multiple people, who have no connection to Joie and attend CTR, some of whom are close to the inner circle of CTR's leadership, also received similar words about CTR. These people believed their messages to be from the Lord. These words included calls to repentance, and prophecies of judgment on CTR if repentance didn't happen. These words were delivered to the CTR leadership.
- We can verify that the leadership of CTR rejected these words and prophecies, including Joie's. They do not believe them to be from the Lord. We know of no messages to CTR that they consider prophetic on these issues.
- We believe that CTR is not unlike ourselves. Our conclusions do not arise out of any agenda. Indeed, as we prayerfully contemplated the message, we found the Lord touching our own hearts as well. Further, we found that all the people we dealt with at CTR love the Lord and were open and sincere with us. We consider them family in Christ and love them dearly.
- There are portions of the message where we do not have clarity. The prophecy speaks of a final judgment on CTR. Our year and a half of studying this has not brought us to a clear conclusion on this matter. However we do know God's judgment is a serious matter, not to be dismissed. We also know that God is gracious and merciful.
- We know CTR felt hurt by both the message and how it was delivered. However, we recognize a core message that still stands. In the end, we urge the elders and leaders of CTR to prayerfully reconsider the message of these prophecies and seek the Lord's face for His will. Our prayers are for them in this process. May God continue to be glorified as He continues to lead and guide all of us in His body here in the Fox Cities into the full measure of His will.
Our Conclusions About the Broader Nature of Joie's Gifting:
- As a part of our discernment we also looked at the nature of Joie's broader gifting.
- During this process, we looked at numerous other prophecies Joie has given over the years. We have heard multiple people testify that these were known beforehand and came to pass exactly as foretold. Even within our own eldership, some can bear witness to various prophecies that were known beforehand and came to pass.
- We can verify that we see the character and hand of God in many of the prophecies we looked at.
- After this extensive discernment process, it is our unanimous conclusion that Joie's gift of prophecy is authentic and of the Lord.
- All of us as believers are capable of mistakes in using our spiritual gifts. Our spiritual gifts are indeed treasures we possess in jars of clay. We are working with Joie as she continues to grow in the Lord and in the mature use of her gift. We know Joie has a heart for the Lord and desires to serve and honor Him.
- We look forward to what God will birth through Joie's gift as it is used in our body. God has given this gift to Joie and to our body for a specific reason, and we long to see it brought to its place of fullness so that God's plan is carried forward.
- While Joie's gift is significant, it is critical that we say that every gift…and every person's gift… is also important to what God will do in and through us. We long to see the spiritual gifts of each member of our body nurtured and exercised in love so that together the church's ministry is carried forward to the glory of God.
- Even though we now share these conclusions, we encourage every member of the body to use their God-given discernment for everything they hear, including prophecy. Discernment is an ongoing process and is the responsibility of the entire body. We as your elders need and welcome the discernment the Lord gives you.
Yours In Christ,
The CCV Eldership:
