Joie Pirkey, Founder and President of Shouts of Joy Ministries, has a degree in pastoral studies from North Central University and has been in ministry for more than 20 years. She has a powerful testimony of a personal, miraculous healing and an encounter with the Holy Spirit that changed the course of her life. She, with her husband and three children, lives in Wisconsin.

Douglas Pirkey, Evangelist and Teacher with Shouts of Joy Ministries, has an undergraduate degree in Christian Studies from North Central University in Minneapolis, MN, with graduate studies in Clinical Pastoral Education and Counselor Education. Douglas teaches Hermeneutics and Biblical Missiology for the Basileia School of Ministry in Wisconsin. He is called and anointed to preach the saving and transforming power of Jesus Christ and the Cross. His ministry experience includes that of Program Director of the Edgecombe County homeless shelter; substance abuse counselor; hospital chaplain; and itinerant preacher in the U.S. and in Rwanda, Africa. Douglas lives with his wife, Joie, and their three children in Wisconsin.
