These past few weeks on Eric's book tour have been awesome! From his first dip into Wisconsin snow to multiple speaking engagements and pizza, he has had quite an experience. The response has been wonderful. One very touching moment was when he spoke at Mapleview Middle School in Kimberly, WI. When Eric finished his presentation the children surrounded him and gave him heartfelt hugs, one after the other. They were deeply moved by what Eric shared, both by the pain he experienced in becoming an orphan and also by the obvious love and compassion he has now for others.
If you haven't had the opportunity to hear Eric speak yet while he has been here, I want to strongly encouage you to find one of the opportunities listed in the side bar to the left and come join us. His message of hope and resilience and the desperate need to forgive others has quite an amazing impact. One evening last week Eric and I were sitting in the living room chatting when the Lord spoke to me about the significance of the message that Eric has. He spoke to me about how our testimony and the blood of Jesus is what can overcome darkness. Many hearts are bound by such a deep darkness that it takes a testimony like Eric's to be able to set those captives free. The anointing on Eric's message is like warm oil on the raw surface of the wounded soul.
